Amazing signs - Ballot open - Business Improvement District Vote “YES”
July 5, 2019
Voting on Witham Industrial Estates begins this week as businesses receive their official Ballot paper giving them a chance to say “YES” to the 2019-24 Business Improvement District (BID); a YES vote will ensure Witham Industrial Watch continues its work to make the area safer and cleaner for everyone. Vote before 30 July, results announced on 31 July.
“An amazing change has taken place on the estates since Witham Industrial Watch’s Business Improvement District’s first scheme started 10 years ago. As a local businessman I was frustrated at the number of incidents, thefts and scruffy areas that encouraged “unwelcome” visitors”, said Chris Dale a director of Witham Industrial Watch. “Today we have a safer and cleaner industrial area with less crime, fewer incidents, estate managers, 8 defibrillators and the latest CCTV and ANPR cameras. A “YES” vote will allow us to build on our success; but a NO vote will mean the end to the estate managers, CCTV, ANPR cameras, monitoring, gritting and defibrillators”.
We have received amazing support from: Priti Patel MP, Roger Hirst, Police, Fire & Crime Commission for Essex, Witham Town Mayor, Cllr Graham Butland, Chief Inspector Janette Rawlingson, Cllr Tom Cunningham and local business people.
